Geeky #8 - Read all Sailormoon manga volumes … in Japanese

And so it officially begins! The start of this task I’ve set before me… and I waste no time!!
About a year ago, I won the first five volumes of the Sailormoon manga in its original Japanese format on an eBay auction (the seller was from Japan, actually). The order came, I drooled over how awesome it was (remember how the series was flipped and badly translated for North American release) and got to reading Volume One.
Unfortunately, I was still in school during time so I was never able to finish the first volume. That and other manga came my way (in English) that I somehow got to reading first (maybe because I was getting tired of translating the kanji in Sailormoon). But now that I have the time and the patience for looking up the kanji, I can fully enjoy the manga in its full entirety starting with #1.

I should probably add another part of this task being, “Attaining all Japanese manga volumes and then reading them,” since these babies are pretty rare nowadays. I managed to find the 6th volume at the local Book-Off which was a total surprise. It’ll be hard to round up the remaining 12 volumes, but I’m up for the challenge!

Happy Reading to Me! =D
